MAKE A BOOKING
An advanced payment is required to secure the date and time of the first lesson. Extra travel expenses are incurred for distances exceeding 5 miles of my (LS5) location at £1 per extra mile each way.
HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR TUITION​?
To sign up:
Read the relevant pages giving information on whether tutoring is right for you/your child.
Read the relevant page on the particular service you’re interested in.
Read the terms and conditions if you’re interested in one to one tuition. Download and complete a digital paper free version of the terms and conditions for online lessons here if you definitely want lessons. Complete using Microsoft Word.
Contact HL Tutoring Services to establish when you would like the lesson, explain why you’re interested in HL Tutoring Services, which subject you/your child would like tuition in and any other relevant information. Alternatively call HL Tutoring Services or book online.

Once a time slot is established then a payment is required at least a week before the first lesson. The payment is non-refundable even if the lesson is cancelled. You can pay online.

Make sure you have the relevant equipment ready for the initial assessment. For violin lessons, ensure your violin is ready to be played.
Enjoy the first lesson. Pay for the next lesson or block of lessons in person or online.

WHEN DO THE LESSONS TAKE PLACE?
One to one tuition costs
​
There will be a price increase starting on 1st September; the increase applies to online lesson prices and face to face* lesson prices.

Online lessons are for a minimum of 1 hour per session. Get in touch if you're interested in a shorter time-scale.

One to one tuition -
​
Pay Weekly £40 an hour, £35 for 45 minutes or £30 for 30 mins.
Pay Monthly £35 an hour, £30 for 45 minutes or £25 for 30 mins.
Pay termly £30 an hour, £25 for 45 minutes or £20 for 30 mins.

An advanced payment is required to secure the time slot for the lesson(s).

You are welcome to pay for lessons in blocks of 4 or more (in advance) if you wish. This is particularly useful if you want to guarantee your regular time slot. It's also cheaper.

Group tuition costs
Group tuition is also offered if students are of a similar level (minimum lesson time 1 hour). Please note group tuition is not as effective as one-to-one tuition.
Please see below for costs based on monthly payments(4 lessons per month):

Tuition takes place in my home or if convenient at the student’s home. Online lessons are also available. A mutually convenient location is also considered.

Please ensure the student has writing equipment and paper ready
For violin lessons, ensure the student has their violin and violin music ready.

Please contact HL Tutoring Services to establish a mutually convenient day and timeslot. Students are expected to keep to the same days and time slots in order to establish a routine. Check the website to find out about group classes. The times of the group classes have already been planned.

The majority of lessons take place at my address or at your chosen address if you’re happy to pay additional transport costs. Group classes are held at my address unless otherwise stated. Online lessons are available during COVID-19 and beyond.

Getting to my address:
​
Walk – head for Morrisons, the new shopping centre ‘Kirkstall Bridge shopping park’ and the Old Bridge Inn pub. Go over the bridge. Where the road forks and dips down slightly go left. Walk past Hollybush Conservation Centre ‘The Conservation Volunteers’. Go up the hill (you should see the canal on your right and Kirkstall Brewery further along). Keep going up the hill until you get to a yellow speed camera. Kirkstall Avenue is where the speed camera is.
Drive – on street parking is available.
Bus 49 stops at Broad Lea Terrace (the stop after Kirkstall Brewery)
Bus 91 stops at Broad Lane (just after the speed camera)
Additional buses stop at Raynville Road.
Other buses are available but you may have to walk a bit further.
